Status Updates From Persuasion

contd - have had 2 conversations, and they've been dry bones dot come. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's not eating for me.

Okay yes and by now Emma and Mr Knightley had bickered all around town, he had told her off "badly done Emma" she had sulked for 2 days and then rightfully so had gone to say sorry to the lady I can't remember and then Mr Knightley says "maybe if I loved you less I could talk about it more" BARZ, but I think we are being served a cold plate of a nothing burger! I think Anne (pleasant babe) and Wentworth (floppatron)

I don't want to be negative, but I think I know what is irking me about this book. We are near the end but I still don't know anything about their actual chemistry to make me support them ending up together. By now Mr Darcy had called Lizzie's family a ghetto ass institution and "ruined perhaps forever the happiness of a most beloved sister" but then he made up for it and then had the proposal of a life time! (contd)

"mischief of his attentions" me when someone I don't like, likes me

"One does not love a place the less for having suffered in it.."

The book has a final chance to enamor itself to me. I'm scared to say this might not be a Jane Austen slay for me :/

“the strong feelings which could estimate it [poetry] truly, were the very feelings that ought to taste it but sparingly”
