If there's one thing that's consistent across all the McGill stories its the litany of characters he throws at the reader in EVERY chapter! My head's spinning. BTW, this book is 168 pages, NOT 288 :)

Fast paced as usual and filled with lots of LT wise cracks fitting for a former boxer turned PI. This is the first novella I've read from Mosley and it's a hardcover the size of a pocketbook!

Guess who’s coming to the bridal shower.

Very excited to be reading something by this author, finally, Always thought I would have read Devil in a Blue Dress by now, but it didn’t happen. Starting with this, instead.

Dion Graham is an excellent narrator. This is a good solid compelling story. More hard-boiled than what I usually read, but it really kept my attention. I found it a bit hard to believe such a violent reaction to news of one's surprising ancestry. A good page turner. Short, quick read.

The way Dion Graham is reading this audio book is a trip. He sound like he’s trying to imitate Dick Tracy or something.
