Just like Beast Boy’s sudden growth spurt and popularity I am getting through this book at a rapid speed and I’m loving it! Tiny Gar is now known as the man on campus as Beast Boy and was able to keep his monkey Kong. However his parents know about Slade and also know about Gar’s supernatural powers without his knowledge. When will Gar fully transform?

At first I was a little hesitant of starting this book because I really enjoyed Raven and I wasn’t sure if Beast Boy could stand on his own. Mainly saw him as the comic relief tbh, but this story is giving him so much depth and complexity. The main thing being his insecurity with his size and using humor as a weapon against bullies. He decided not to take his supplements so we will see how he changes.

Absolutely beautiful art, especially the part where his powers activate for the first time. Gar is a very fun protagonist, but some of the side characters are a little grating.
