Yall… MY HEART CAN NOT TAKE THIS 😭 I swear the author took my relationship with my ex and just rephrased the context because every thought that Yi-Gyeoung had must be something I have thought before, I feel this so deeply. This ride is wild.

It feels like they scarcely know a thing about each other but out of the blue they have <spoiler>already started having a make out session. Their heart flutters around each other and they get physical quickly but considering it has picked up so rapidly,</spoiler> the author has seldom portrayed their internal thoughts or feelings which makes it confusing. Overall the story/characters are on the shallow side thus far

I just purchased it and thought “wow it’s a pretty small and thin book,” then I realized that since it is a bilingual version (where all of the left pages are Korean and all of the right pages are English) that meant the actual story is half the size of the book already - definitely going to be a shorter read but we shall see if it is worthwhile ^^

Two girls fell in love with each other one summer. This is a tale of love, longing, and heartbreak. But most of all, this is a story of queer love, no matter the pain and the suffering. Choi Eunyoung has never disappointed me with her stories. They are all very detailed, interesting and emotional stories ❤️🩹

"I knew nothing could be this good. No way something this good could happen to me." Suyi spoke. "I didn't expect to be with you forever. I don't deserve it. I guess now I don't have to worry about you getting sick or hurt or dying anymore. Still—well, never mind. It'll pass. It will."

"The body of their selves, the "self" itself, even the distinction between "you" and "me" lost their meaning in these moments when their bodies were like petals and water. Yi-gyeong thought: We are no more than the breath we drink in and breathe out. One breath that rises infinitely but falls to the depths at the same time."

"Sometimes we were astonished by the fact that we were two people. She could feel my pain and I cried when she was hurting, so how was it possible that we were two separate people?"
