Not going to finish this book. Got to p. 48 and i just couldn’t spend my time with it anymore. Not interested in Russian history in the beginning of the 20th century. I thought I would enjoy it more since it is a food memoir but i just couldn’t spend anymore time on it.

don't know if I can finish :/ why is there barely any mention of Soviet food and it's history 🙈 every reflection in this memoir drips with bitterness. it seems like food is the only source of longing, but there hasn't been a food tale since the first chapter. might take a break and come back to this
