This book is really rich in research and context, if you are a fan of Dario Argento's movies it is a must read!!!
I like that some of the Argento's influenced movies are mentioned, e.g. Stagefright/Bloody Bird (I watched it before and I love it!)

Fine! I had watched Opera again...the music and the visuals are spectacular but...is the whole movie a wish-list of what Argento wanna do to his audience: (1) ties them up and makes them unable to shut their eyes when horrible things happen, (2) does some really scary stunts in the theater so everyone must run in panic and run for their lives. LOL

Now I want to watch Tenebrae and Opera again...although I don't like them as much as the other Argento's works.

Argento's hallucinogenic revelry in the power of the image at the total expense of narrative
That's the one thing that I don't like about the Argento's movies.

I really love The House that Dripped Blood (1971, Peter Duffell), by the way.
And Roger Gorman, the great Poe's director.

And it is also correct that all morally good and those who are supportive to Betty winded up getting killed.

The heroine, Betty, I think she looks a bit too young to play Lady Macbeth in the story, but her outlook is undeniably lovely. And the author of this book agrees with me, he also questions: why a young woman who is young and inexperienced so successful in playing Lady Macbeth, whose lust for power motivated her to aid her husband in killing his king and friends? Does it mean there is something darker in Betty's perso
