I don’t think he needed to apologize to her right now. Let her apologize for dumping him and trusting the brother and then let him go home and think about it, and then have a conversation about how you love each other and he should have told you sooner (we know there’s an NDA at play).

She’s looking at this as believe my boyfriend or believe the woman, but you haven’t heard what the woman actually has to say. You heard what the brother said and you don’t have any reason to trust the guy without corroborating his story at all.

So she’s known this guy a while. Her friends like him, her dad likes him. He tells you there’s beef with his brother. The brother shows up and tells a convoluted story about how MMC is actually terrible and you just believe him. No questions asked? It’s possible the bro is telling the truth, but why instantly trust the random brother with no evidence more than the guy we love? It’s at least worth asking him.
