CONFLICT: In my book, Bill Simmons ranked the best teams and players. He keeps repeating in the book that he is fighting his choice. For example Charles Barkley and Karl Malone. He says that there were two different players but had almost the same success in their seasons. Another example is Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. He ranks Magic Johnson higher just based on how his season was longer than Bird's.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: In this chapter Bill Simmons is ranking players in the top 20 of everyone who has played in the NBA. This reminds me of other sports, there are outstanding players and there are good enough players that they would be ranked high. Another reminder is that it is hard to compare old and new players. For example in basketball, MJ and LeBron. In baseball, Babe Ruth and Ohtani.
