She also says how she’s so familiar with tv and media world but she was so lost she needed to hire someone to navigate the publicity and then sells rights to hbo… again zero mention of profiting from this. “Forgotl to respond to reporters but really she wants to sell her info in this book.

Pt 2 lying about meeting her only to set her up and does not even speak about this as a deception. If she did own up to these things, it would make her stronger and more compelling as a character but she comes across sycophantic and wanting to play up to audiences.

It’s astounding how Williams has ZERO accountability. Like she’s hell bent on painting herself as a sweet innocent people pleaser and cannot admit to anything controversial she did. She described setting up her friend in rehab as something she just happened to get forced into, when she literally sent texts to Anna

Ok she fully hid her privilege throughout this. Her dad was running for congress! I don’t think she is poor like she makes out, maybe not rich rich though. No wonder she let the 60k debt sit on her credit cards. Who does that??

Omg I can’t with this woman. She’s supposedly unable to sleep from the stress of 60k debt but then spends money to go on several trips with friends and weddings / bachelorettes?! Come on

I’m still fascinated by Anna but fascinated by Rachel too. Watching inventing Anna in tandem and Rachel’s depiction there is hilarious but spot on. This book is a great example of how you can be irresponsible but everything will be okay if you’re a young white woman. Amex will up your spending limit. You use your company card for personal expenses of thousands but all is forgiven…

The author is insufferable…. Morocco felt alien and talking to Amex felt like “home” or she was squeemish about sushi and just wanted a California roll…. She tries super hard to make herself likable but it’s apparent how opportunistic and self victimizing she is. But will definitely finish because I’m fascinated by Anna.
