Status Updates From American Judas

I’m a bit disappointed. Feels likes a Handmaid’s Tale rip-off but obviously written by a man. So many similarities. All the women fall very flat. Some stuff added just for shock value. I was excited for this book, but have to give it 1 star

Liked it at first, but too similar to The Handmaid’s tale to be a coincidence and very obviously written by a man. Dad, I was excited. Gonna power through

I'm wondering if I can continue reading this book. It's a fascinating premise and altogether believable; in that, the believability, lies the problem. But I also believe that in order to prevent governmental overreach and religious fanaticism we must have open eyes and minds when it comes to the possible repercussions. As a result, I'm determined to at least attempt to finish the book.
