Holy Mother of all that is holy. The Glass Collector story was definitely the most striking so far.
Yes, the Vegetarian served up her husband (gross), but the Glass Collector killed 12 people. My goodness.
Can’t wait to read about The Demon.

This book flows well and the characters are fascinating. It feels like it could be a movie. Reminding me of Silence of the Lambs a bit.

“Bohemians particularly were like no other people who walked the Earth: for them everything was fluid, ever changing. Like immortals, they have watched with amused disinterest the petty passions of mortals: the swelling and shrinking of borders; the rising and falling of flags, of empires, of patriotism’s and prejudices.”

Having a hard time getting through this book. I like to setting and some of the characters but the writing style is so hard to enjoy. It's more clinical than anything. Not much of a thriller

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the writing style and the story. An excellent read - at times a bit gory and dark but I like that on occasion.

I really wanted to like this book but i find myself virtually skimming these last several pages. I just don’t have any interest in what’s happening- what little mysteries that have been set up feel trite and of really no consequence. I was really enjoying the backdrop of political beliefs between professionals in a closed setting with the rise of nazism and Hitler but even that doesn’t feel to have any weight.
