Zvláštní školy u nás byly zavedeny od roku 1937.... takže, aby si v roce 1935 vzpomínala na dětství ve zvláštní škole

a ještě jedna věc, ano, je to smyšlené ok.. ale je to nevěrohodné už i proto, že za 130 let byste u nás nějaké masové a seriové a podobné vrahy spočítali na prstech jedné ruky. Obvykle navíc šlo o sexuální vrahy a ty důvody byly vlastnš jako přes kopírák. To ale i vypovídá něco o společnosti. Bylo tu bezpečno a to, co tu je i když je to vymyšlené, tak to je prostě jako pěst na oko a divné, neuvěřitelné,

na půl dne cesty. To byla naivní představa. Ano, je vidět, že měl poradce, na současnou dobu, ale historie mu tam trochu lítá, je tam spíše německý pohled... nechápe českou mentalitu a přemýšlení

zatím jsem rozpolcená. I proto, že ....ano skvělý nápad, dobře napsané, ale...těch ale je tam spousta... vůbec to nevystihuje tu českou dobu 3 roky před rozpoutáním války, to napětí,... to že byl problém s chudobou, to, že lesy okolo Mladé Boleslavi v té době sloužili k vojenským úšelům, to, že bylo běžné brát drogy, to, že tvrzení, že je Praha blízko...v té době i tahle vzdálenost byla

Aha,,, autor je fascinován Českem a děj knihy umístil na hrad Houska... to mě pobavilo. A popravdě, i když se hodně snažil... historicky se mu to tam rozjíždí.. což to dělá nereálné a neuvěřitelné... škoda, velká škoda, ale věřím, že v zahraničí mu to žrali, zvlášť v Americe

I'm...scared.

I'm only on chapter five but this book feels so soothing in it's prose. It's horror but the style of Russell's writing makes you fall into the words, waiting for each thing they will reveal to you with heady anticipation. I am listening to the book on audible and while the narrator, Julian Rhind-Tutt, is so very good with an almost hypnotic voice, it's the words I noticed most. Combine both and near perfection.

Pues de momento una perfecta novela negra muy bien narrada y con pasajes muy sangrientos, que eso sí lleva un ritmo pausado, pero tremendamente disfrutable.

Doy comienzo la segunda parte. La primera parte en líneas generales muy buena, aunque en algunos tramos se hace un poco pesada, pero llega un punto en el que es muy interesante y dinámica. Espero que continúe así.

Like, who thinks like that the moment they meet a new person? I wouldn't even consider his role in my life.....🤔🤔🤔

Estoy en ascuas. Tengo que seguir pero la vida no me da. El final del libro engancha, engancha demasiado.

This just feels silly. It had potential to be a really engrossing thriller, but none of the psychology in this book feels remotely feasible. It’s simultaneously too modern and too archaic.

No es el mejor libro que he leido pero entretiene.

Been awhile since I've been on Goodreads but I'm back at it. Set a goal to read 16 books this year, I've already read two but they aren't on Goodreads yet so technically the goal's 18 I guess

Estaba pensando que no me iba a enganchar pero me empieza a dar el gusanillo de no poder soltarlo.

boy the writing in this is. not good. nevermind the weird descriptions of women (i despair of cis men writing women 99% of the time), it's repetitive. like. using the exact same sentence in subsequent paragraphs of chapters repetitive. and not for thematic effect. :|

Enjoying this, but both the answer to whodunnit and the accompanying twist seem pretty obvious at this point. Suspiciously obvious, perhaps?

I hope this is not taking the way too obvious route, or the JTR route.
