-Would’ve preferred a reason for Raleigh breaking into Glenda's house, too convenient
-some characters make absurd leaps in judgment to move plot along

Adam admits he killed her, he found the hidden emails and didn't want Keith to leave and start a new family w A; he freaked out and called Glenda to help

idk they thought Carmen was figuring it out, I might have missed this

Robert can't find phone in garden and suspects Becky

Cops think Keith is covering for someone, they bring in O and Paul

O confirms only their family knows and Keith, he says Glenda too

Glenda had to clean up the scene, made mistake of putting key back and now fears her husband won’t protect her in his interview

Someone choked Carmen to death and witness saw Glenda

Cops believe she killed Carmen but think she's protecting Adam about Amanda

Cops try to figure out if Keith is lying

After said key was in hiding place

So it’s possible that someone went up to cabin knowing A was there after K left, they murdered her then locked up and returned key to hiding place, when K came back next day and door is locked he’d go to hiding place, meaning whoever killed her would have to be someone who knows about the hiding place

Keith confirms the affair w A and he saw her at the cabin the weekend she disappeared, knew it would be empty so no one would recognize them

When he went back Sat her car was gone and he thought she changed her mind, but he waited there in case she came back. He was last to see her alive

Literally not a man in this story has an alibi. Not one.

Raleigh tells them about the burner phone, but cops didn’t know about it; at home he’s going thru Paul’s computer doesn’t find anything

But finally admits he broke into Glenda’s house, too; Found out her husband Keith is cheating on her based on his emails, says Adam drinks to forget his dad’s an asshole

Cops release Paul (idk I must've missed it) and thanks to him, they get warrant to search Keith’s computer

Cops get their permission to search Paul/Olivia’s cabin and find traces of cleaned up blood, they arrest Paul (honestly, it’s looking like it’s Raleigh not Paul, idk I think this tho); police will take Raleigh’s and Olivia’s prints too to crosscheck w the prints at the cabin (top, now they’ll have Raleigh’s prints)

Hammer is missing from shed

Blood is confirmed to be Amanda’s

I have decided Olivia might be very dumb

Cops check CCTV of hotels in area and see Larry and Amanda

Becky preps Larry before his police interview: don’t say u had an argument w her, don’t say u threw your phone off the bridge but the shore (the woman are all having to save their husband’s asses in this novel); then she goes to visit Robert, confirms he only slept w her to get back at Amanda, she suspects him to be the cold-blooded killer

Raleigh breaks into one more house to get thrill of hacking computer

Glenda’s (O’s bff) teen son, Adam (drunk, rebellious) beat up Carmen’s recycling bin the previous night

Paul turned off his phone otw to his aunt’s cuz it was dying

Carmen confronts Raleigh about the break in

O goes to aunt’s house and even tho she has dementia, she keeps a diary to help w memory, O wants to check what she wrote for Fri

Cops look into Larry’s alibi, a conference 20 min from the dump site, and he was unaccounted for after before 9PM night she was murdered; he fell asleep angry cuz she broke it off w him, then he threw the burner in the river

Robert saw Amanda’s burner phone, he called Larry and he answered; the second number never picked up; he buried the burner so the cops can never prove he knew about her affairs

Paul didn’t tell Olivia anything (cops interruption, suspecting Larry etc) so when she confides in her bff Glenda, she tells O you need to tell the cops you were with Paul all weekend so they don’t suspect him

Paul saw his aunt that weekend, he wasn't w Olivia, and he didn’t tell her about Larry cuz O is friend’s with his wife

Cops interrogate Paul at work, he lies at first that he didn’t know Amanda but when pressed he says yes, they did talk in her car but he was warning her off from the man she was sleeping with at work b/c she’s trouble, so the affair isn’t him it’s Larry, Becky’s husband -_-

Larry denies being the affair, it was just one BJ that Paul caught them doing

Becky tells Olivia everything

Carmen's going around asking who sent anon letters, b/c Olivia doesn’t have a poker face she suspects Raleigh. O decides to tell her husband Paul about the letters.

Robert confronts Becky, knows about the witness now and basically pressures her to not believe that he knew about his wife’s affair

Becky tells cops she saw A with Paul arguing Wed before she disappeared but that she didn’t tell Robert (tho she did)
