Hm. Not sure what happened. Got sloppy and rushed all of a sudden. Like, I get it's the climax and all but it feels clunky and over the top. Like the pacing is no longer as smooth as it was. Like as if you turned the last three Harry Potter books into 15% of this book. Disappointed. Might not continue with this series.

What side is Lucien on? Seriously. Glad we finally have answers. Glad for Aspen and Isak. I love the complexity and flaws Aspen has. Very believable and I feel for her. Who is the emissary for the evil??? Who? What is Aspen's origins?

I love Aspen's adaptability and moxy! Things start heating up at the Mage Council! I like that it's like a scavenger hunt rather than simply a boring duel. Kinda feral-urban Harry Potter Tri-Wizard Tournament.
