Not sure how I feel about this novella so far. The husband appears to be an unreliable and dislikable narrator/character with not many redeeming factors, and I’m sure he’s deliberately written this way.
He sees his work (as a writer), being inflexible and equating to ‘more’ hard work and effort than of his wife raising their children. There’s an imbalance of equality, as he deems his work more important.
