This is a very approachable, straightforward and light book. It underlines the achievements and thoughts of the most influential thinkers in the history of humankind, and in what way these are still relevant/impactful in today’s society.

Maybe it is impossible for history to be fair, so who can you blame? Do you think there's a way to make it fair?

It is very much an apologetic western look at religion, pandering and selectively factual. Sometimes I wonder if I am reading the book just because I am too stubborn to put it down.

There are a few pages on Hinduism, and the stereotyping and disapproval is very apparent. Any social structure has its good and bad sides, but it doesn't make sense to take a balanced view on one (Greek civilization and Christianity)and a wholly negative view (ignoring all the good sides) on Hinduism. It's disappointing that this narrative dominates academia.
