Status Updates From The Future of Another Timeline

ok so thusfar here are the central plot points:
- a time traveling group of women who are(of course) traveling through time to secure womens rights
- fighting a group of incel men: are rallied behind some misogynist senator from the 1890s (actually existed)
- subplot of when this woman was 18 she was a 90s punk rocker and she and her friends murdered rapists in serial killer fashion

Reminding me of a thriller version of This Is How You Lose The Time War. And some bits of Stephen Baxter's Coalescent and even The Handmaid's Tale. And more philosophically, there's the idea that each of us is a sort of time traveler making edits to a timeline -- our own. In that sense, you can view the ideas here as a fictionalized version of Carse's Finite and Infinite Games.

Reminding me of a thriller version of This Is How You Lose The Time War. And some bits of Stephen Baxter's Coalescent...

This book is everything I love (time travel, feminism, punk rock, etc) but for reasons i can’t articulate, i don’t love this book. And i don’t want to finish it 🤷🏾‍♀️

Minor problem: when I read, it's hard not to stop every two pages and gush about it. Thankfully, my spouse is ultra patient, but still. Must let the spell weave its magic for him!

Ok, I know I liked this when I read it, but it was too weird/complex to easily process. It stuck with me far more than most books, and I found myself thinking about it and mentioning it to my husband regularly. I convinced him to read it out loud with me. I'm already like ELEVEN STARS HOLY CRAP. It's so good, I had to grow to appreciate its genius. THIS IS MY READ OF THE PANDEMIC. possibly decade. I'm so hyped!
