Status Updates From Creatures

Had to stop one chapter in. The atmosphere is dreary and oppressive with how impersonal the human interactions are, yet almost carnal in describing the ocean and the air and the sand. gosh

picked this up at the library (renewed my card!!) after reading the first line of the blurb: "Creatures is the kind of beautiful book that makes you want to lick the salt from its pages." I'm sold

The childhood so far is just wild and sad.
