One of my absolute fav authors — excited to find another self read audiobook which elevates Hari to perhaps my fav reading experience when combined with reading along in order to apply appropriate marginalia.. Not expecting Red Pill or Blue Ruin level but still..

“You are clinically ill. You cannot do this to people.” sento che userò questa espressione in occasioni future, ha molto potenziale.

Arjun un po' pazzo in culo per creare e diffondere un virus solo perché stato licenziato. Not my twin anymore

The plot has yet to really pick up so I hate to give assumptions or reviews before hand but I’m starting to get just a little bored. Though, he did just arrive in America so I think it’ll pick up soon.
I also want to bring up the nickname of “bro” and “sis”. I thought it was satire, but now I’m wondering if I’m missing a cultural element. maybe it’s normal for siblings in India to refer to one another this way.

So far, we’re being saturated in detail. Which I don’t think is a bad thing. There has to be this balance between action and detail. Too much detail can sometimes make high-stake action moments confusing and not enough detail in mundane action can make the story boring. I’m excited to see how it will play out.

k can already tell the characters in this book hate women, and i don’t think it’s gonna be a clever commentary on misogyny 💔

This has been a great year for literature so far. With the exception of 3 or 4, I’ve loved all of the books I’ve read so far. I enjoyed Gods Without Men and had a great time with White Tears (especially since I read it right after I saw Get Out), so I’m excited to see what thing brings.

From India, Arjun moves to the States in hopes of playing out his dreams only to find that this world is tough. He's left, scrambling for jobs and money.

Some scenes and characters (!) I detest passionately, but apart from that this is actually interesting.

And this.. "If the soccer moms zipping by in their SUVs registered him at all, it was as a blur of dark skin, a minor danger signal flashing past on their periphery. To the walking man, the soccer moms were more cosmological than human, gleaming projectiles that dopplered past him in a rush of noise and dioxins, as alien and indifferent as stars." Beautiful writing, huh?
