This was a hard book to read, almost stopped butt so glad I didn't. Beautiful story of an abused boy who runs away and lives homeless but works hard, at any job he could find, married has a son be raised alone.

I wrote Charlie's Kid.
It's just, so many people have been provoked to make strong statements. I needed to experience the novel objectively, myself.
Surprisingly, the read draws up incredibly strong emotions and crystal clear memories within me. Which, is what I was trying to convey. I wanted the read to flow easy while implanting strong memories what stay with the reader after completion. I feel I succeeded.
