what kind of fictional PI doesn't carry lockpicks with him at all times??

a Harlequin Intrigue title, yet there's nothing intriguing happening in this book. there's barely any action in this and every important conversation the MCs have with other characters that actually progresses the story happens off-page.

also this dude is a PI?? i don't think there's even been a scene where he googles something himself. he's got his cop friend doing everything for him

this book is not good lol
