Madame Bovary's Greyhound was alright…didn’t love it. The writing is still very vivid so it’s still an enjoyable read but I didn’t love the story. Seeing the dog’s pov was interesting but something within me has always been biased against dog-focused media, even though I love dogs. Never liked old yeller or airbuddies or that other one.

Bog Girl was so good…like so good. I loved it. Each short story has been better than the last! I hope this trend continues. I think this would make such a beautiful short film..part of me feels like saying things like this about books is disrespectful. The author wrote it as a book not a screenplay! But it would be a great movie as well. Some things can only be done in literature of course.. what do you think? Idk!

The second story, The Bad Graft, was incredible. Russell’s writing style is enchanting.

So far it’s been good. My least favorite short story was the second one titled The Bad Graft, a story about a Joshua tree that travels into a woman’s body and becomes a part of her. My favorite stories have been Bog Girl and Madame Bovary’s Greyhound so far.
