"Winning isn't having the most toys. It's having precisely what you need and nothing in excess and being able to stop playing the game at will." (p. 53)

My forth times re-reading this book. I do this before or around January. It’s a principle.

Seems like a great book for people who are absolutely careless with Money or yet to come to terms with it.

So far it’s ok. I hate when the beginning of books brag.

Paused on this for months because it took a turn towards living off the land and swapping furniture with people. Coming back to a more “sane” (for me) dialogue now that’ll probably help me finish this out finally.

This book is going to help me, but it's also triggering my anxiety. I wish I learned about this book 10 years ago.

The information in this book is enlightening, but it also has me fearful of the reality of my finances. I'm not terrible, but it's forcing me to reassess what a lot of us ignore. The one thing I like about this book is the author says to read the book in its entirety before doing the steps. I think it helps me not feel overwhelmed.

MelCat library loan ended. Need to find another source and might have to buy this one...I think it would be worth it.

What else would we do with "disposable" income besides dispose of it? - we certainly wouldn't want to keep it around, where it would just rot!
So if consuming is the way to keep the economy strong and savers are people willing to put their fellow citizens out of work, an online shopping spree can be considered downright patriotic.

I love this book. I feel validated in seeing some practices I already have in place and EXTREMELY intimidated by other practices suggested. Makes for a great combk

I like the principles so far (Chapter 6) but the ‘hours of life energy’ vs income is giving me anxiety.. 😅 It’s a lot..
