I mean, it's fine, but i rarely get through a whole Wodehouse in one go, so I guess it's doing a very good imitation of one.

Even the footnotes have footnotes, which is highly enjoyable.

Utterly brilliant! - I can hardly put it down, but I really don’t want it to finish!

Would never have guessed that this wasn't written by Wodehouse himself. Schott did an excellent job paying homage.

As with every Jeeves and Wooster book this is preposterous. It's also wickedly funny and an excellent companion to Wodehouse.
And as always, seems to be sharing the moral that life is easier if you just fess up to things, rather than creating elaborate schemes! Less fun but easier!

So far, so disappointing. The joy of Wodehouse is completely missing. What's the old saying, Death is easy, comedy is hard? This author reads like he should be writing drama - not light comedy.

I wish Jeeves were real and I wish he was my butler/friend/back up brain.
I think we would get along just fine.

I'm genuinely enjoying this.
No, it's NOT Wodehouse--but it is VERY NEAR the mark, my good crumpets.

Really need to focus because all the wit is interwoven and dense. And sooo funny. Hope to finish at some point.
Not "background" reading, if you know what I mean.

Ben Schott does a good Wodehouse. But why? I was charmed by the first chapter and I read on, thinking he was gonna turn the genre inside out or something. I don't know why I burdened it with those ambitions, but I hadn't read any reviews of it and this is what I expected, that the imitation of Wodehouse was just the beginning. I don't think I'll finish it. For the life of me I can't choose a book these days.

I am very bummed that I have to work today rather than finish this. Mr. Schott has captured the characters of Jeeves and Bertie excellently, and the story is a hoot so far.

So glad to be listening to this as an audiobook so I can shout "The code of the Woosters" and "Aunts aren't Gentlemen" as the author happily works Wodehouse titles into the dialogue.
