It’s very interesting at the moment. Mr. Fogg is a very peculiar man. I love Passepartour! Although, I found it unnecessary to bring him to his adventure. I believe the servant just wanted to work and make money 😭

Is the racism and the sense of "God Bless Colonialism" a hard pill to swallow? Absolutely. But Nostalgia is an emotion all too powerful and I will plough on through the insensitive parts. I do love the book overall though. (Rereading after 25-ish years).

Amo la pulla sútil que da Passepartout sobre los "americanos" (gringos) diciendo que él también puede ser tan americano como ellos (con valor pero no inteligencia) y subirse a un tren a máxima velocidad para pasar un puente a medio caer. Ja.

Me encanta que lo único que hace falta para que a un hombre supuestamente sensato, hogareño y que lleva haciendo la misma rutina por AÑOS se le saque de casa para recorrer el mundo sea un "no hay huevos". Y dicen que Verne predecía el futuro con sus novelas. También, ya de paso, plasma la naturaleza del hombre x)
