Status Updates From Hey, Wait...

I know it’s silly, but I’ve only found out that Jason is a Norwegian cartoonist (and Jason is his nom de plume/pen name). It is funny because I decided to read it today and only yesterday I watched Sentimental Value (Dir. Joachim Trier) and I’ve read two works by Jon Fosse earlier this year. I guess 2026 will be the year of Norwegian works. I’m enjoying them a lot.

I feel like I want to re-read it again, and then see how I feel about it. It is very interesting, that’s for sure. But for now it’s 3-3.5/5 stars for me.

I’ve been meaning to get into Jason’s work for quite some time now and I’m glad that I got to it. Hey, wait… was really good, although a bit underwhelming. I loved the drinking sequence, it was absolutely brilliant! But on the whole, I don’t know how to feel about the story. On one hand, I liked it overall but I’m still stuck on the ending, and I usually love ambiguous/open endings hmmm
