Book Two done - The second half of the book lost me a bit: That could be because I had such a long reading-pause placed within this book, but also because the character…ouh well, I don‘t want to spoil anything. Let‘s just say I wasn‘t the only one that was feeling a bit lost in the story ;)

Omg. I’m so hooked to the point where I’m listening to ambient Dune instrumentals
Will Paul use his intuition for good?
He’s just like me (in terms of his intuition)
Lady Jessica is that girl I love her DOWN
Started this series at the right time !

First dune book is awesome worldbuilding and the rise to power of Paul
Dune messiah is a welcome switch up to more scheming and political intrigue that digs deep into what it means to be an idol and the power of religion. I love how it criticizes Paul and his actions and shows the uncontrolled power of religion on that scale. Scytale is awesome

Finished Dune: Messiah
“There are problems in this universe for which there are no answers.”
A slower, darker sequel that trades epic battles for political intrigue and philosophical questions. It was good — and I’m excited to see how they adapt it for the screen — but for me, the first two books definitely hit harder. Still, Herbert’s world remains fascinating and full of haunting ideas.

I have finished Dube Messiah, book 2 of this series.
Again, I loved the world building. I found this book quite difficult to get into, it was actually rather short but the first half felt incredibly long - possibly because we're told how it will all end very early on in the story. It gets much better though, I'm ultimately glad I stuck with it. I need a big break before reading the third in the trilogy though!

Finished Book 1, now onto Dune Messiah. I am in love with the movies, Dune part 1 and 2, but they DO NOT do justice to the book. Wow it is brilliant.

I've finished the first of the Dune trilogy and would give it 4 stars. I love the world created but I wish we saw more of it. I'm more into world building through characters eyes than I am the political/military aspect.

Slow annotation journey. I know I need to pick this up again but I'm struggling with 'Children of Dune.' It's as if I am playing in a game full of riddles hoping to understand what the importance of conversation is if they already know all the answers.

It’s working… not an easy read, but since I’ve read so many pages already, I’m determined to finish it.
