Status Updates From Once Upon A Time, There Was...

In the words of Wang Lu, it was better to be gang-raped by three people than five. At least, the child would find it easier to recognize the father. <--- This book is definitely getting a 1 star from me.

If there weren't things I was curious about I would stop reading this. The 12 yr old talking about riding a man's wife and talking about fantasies of his master being gang raped is truly appalling.

I saw the drama adaptation which was pretty good. There were some issues I didn't like in the drama that's... well a hell of a lot worse in the book so far. The main character in the drama was an adult... in the book.. he's twelve. TWELVE and he talks like a fully grown man but not just a grown man, a scoundrel at that. It would be irreverent if he was an adult. As a 12 yr old, it's extremely distasteful.
