Definitely indulgent on the part of the author. A large portion felt like an advertisement. I also didn’t appreciate the last chapter completely reversing the mindful, peaceful feel of the book. The MBSR program does sound very effective and I’ve been able to implement portions of it very effectively. However, the book could have been effective at 250 pages vs over 700.
