Town Men: they’re just doing this for attention
Character’s mom: girls are always trouble
Character’s ex: hey uh my baby mama is rusty now, wanna smash?
Character: everyone asks what the doctors want, but what do the rusty girls want? (Doesn’t ask them)
NO ONE WOULD ACT THIS WAY IF PEOPLE WENT BODY HORROR WTF

Narrator sounds like an overly dramatic 14 year old, and the alleged body horror isn’t described with any detail.
A girl was lethargic and you saw a deep cut that looked “like oxidized metal” and have decided that the bones of half the teen girls in town have been replaced by rusty metal? You didn’t even touch the wound. Of course no one thinks that happened you rude whiny little weirdo.
