Should definitely have read more of this by now for class but very interesting world so far. Laying it on a bit heavy with the telling rather than showing but I’m not mad about it!

I’m going to hold all judgements until I finish the book but I’m going to say that I don’t really feel invested in anyone that I’ve met AND I don’t know if I really fully care about what happens to them. Like I do obviously but there’s so many ???? things that you’re like “okay I guess”

I think the book is growing on me?

The structure of this book I think is going to make me mad lol

This started interesting but is veering oddly into feminine stereotypes that feel very forced and a weird budding relationship while she's recovering from a rape induced ectopic pregnancy.

Leider habe ich das Buch doch nicht in der Lesenacht beenden können, obwohl es so extrem gut ist! Dann entdecke ich eben heute, wie die Geschichte weitergeht!

Teil 1 von 3 ist bereits gelesen. Die Geschichte ist so gut geschrieben, dass ich gar nicht merke, wie schnell die Seiten vorüber fliegen. Und die Geschehnisse überschlagen sich!

Oh wow, das sind so gut geschriebene Entwicklungen! Wie gut, dass ich heute nichts anderes als Lesen vorhabe!

Interessantes erstes Kapitel. Es zeigt direkt das Leben der Protagonistin und wirft Fragen aus, ohne ein Gefühl von Frust aufzubauen.

so, i feel like I have finally, 900 years latr, struck the good part of this book. Sabine is in danger and now we have to try and figure out how homegirl got pregnant.

I kind of hate this world though. Why are women continuing to be used for baby-making in every dystopian world?

Seems similar to The Handmaid’s Tale, but with a little more grounding in the previous society.

I need a new copy of this one to continue !

This is dragging a bit and I am kind of disappointed. Going to finish it, but so far it's not as engaging as I had hoped.

"Hate" feels like a strong word for such mediocrity, but I hate this book. And I feel terrible saying that, but it's true.

Ich finde den englischen Originatitel
"Before She Sleeps" viel passender als den deutschen Titel.

I also hate how sometimes the POV will shift to another character in the middle of a chapter. It feels amateur and it really bugs me.

Right now, I HATE the heteronormativity of this book. I understand why, but I hate it so much. Will this book ever talk about queer women?

So hard to put this book down!

Another book about feminism? I don't know why this book was on my TBR list. Right now I'm lost trying to understand the overall concept
