1/29 -- finished Genesis. Joseph's story really stood out to me this time. It's so cool.

1/17 -- finished Job

Lord willing, i am going to read the entire Bible in this translation this year! this Bible has lots of notes on cultural context, comparing how ancient Israel viewed God vs how other nations viewed their gods, etc. i'm interested in that kind of stuff so looking forward to learning more about it :)

This is a really helpful and interesting, actually intrigued, reading journey for me. I have been reading very slowly, intentionally, over the years; thus 74% in 5 years at least. I felt compelled to share the joy and appreciation during this long reading, for its breadth with depth. I highly recommend this book.
