Status Updates From Promises Left for Dead

It reminds me of hunger games without the "game" part. I did enjoy the book and look forward to reading the other 2 of this series.

Beckham Lawre is a talented teenage writer with a huge career ahead of him. I don’t normally read dystopian futuristic books but this book caught my attention from the first line: ‘Tell me, America, how does it feel to be lied to?’ This line immediately gets you hooked into the novel as you want to know more about the lie that has been told.

So I’m just starting this book. A friend recommended it to me, only a little disappointed because the words on the pages are so small. (I just read a 700 page biography with words this small, that took me 5 months, so I’ve been trying to read shorter books with bigger words, but i assume this book will be much more interesting than a biography

Picked this up from the author (a seventeen year old girl) sitting at Chow in Boise, Idaho.
