So... I'm going to continue reading this. However, having just finished two books by Kristi Ann Hunter, it seems like Quiet Meg could use quite a lot more character development. Kristi Hunter develops even her secondary characters thoroughly.

Well, I'm engrossed. Nothing for it but to plow through to the end.

Finally got around to looking up the Wikipedia entry for Almack's. Now I have a better idea how it worked. Side note: it seems that the world lost a great deal of historically important architecture during the bombing of Britain.
