Status Updates From Bleak House

Thinking of Pausing for next year, unfortunately we have had a very warm February and it’s basically summer in the afternoons here in the south, & this book feels meant to be read in winter to me 😭

‘She is like the morning,’ he said. ‘With that golden hair, those blue eyes, and that fresh bloom on her cheek, she is like the summer morning. The birds will mistake her for it.’

These wild side characters are the kind of silly side characters I love how he writes as this is reminding me of great expectations in that way - I will reread that book in few years
