Shame is a fear or being exposed in your weakness. Shame comes from believe the kid that your identity, who you are, is based on how you or others perceive you.

You stand before God not just as one who never sinned, but as one who has fulfilled His law in every way.

The desire to live a perfect, sin-free life can be a symptom of pride and just one more way we strive to live independent of Jesus.

Dominating and abdicating are both corruptions of partnering … Whether you disowned or control, it’s an expression of the belief that your cause, your happiness, your comfort, or your mission is more important than others

Submission to authority is not blind, and thoughtless following, but more of a thoughtful, intentional deferring to another’s judgment, opinion, or decision. Requires humility.… Submission is sacrificial; it requires dying to self and relinquishing your own desire to be right or in control. But the fruit of biblical submission is order, harmony, and peace.

A wife who submits to her husband respectfully acknowledges the responsibility he carries, and she bears and shares the risk with him. Submission is knowing with whom you will partner and willingly placing yourself under their leadership. Biblical submission and disagreement involves sharing your insight and wisdom, and then assuring your partner that though you may not agree, you will follow except into sin

Society views submission as compliance, subservience, passivity, weakness… True submission includes an exchange of ideas, mutual respect for other’s opinions, and skills… Culture often equates position with value, but this is not biblical. Although position differs, value remains the same. It is not an issue of equality or value but of honor and respect. Someone must submit an order for another to lead.

Even in equality, there is submission. Though Jesus is equal in divinity and power, He willfully humbles Himself and elevate the Father through the active submission.

Submission is the voluntary humbling of oneself in order to elevate another.

Woman was created with a unique mission: to further the advancement of another by contributing strength, support, assistance, and means. She is able to come alongside others and help shoulder their burdens.

The proverbs 31 woman brings all of who she is alongside those in her life and a way that is sacrificial, honoring, and beneficial to them.

Each member of the Trinity speaks an acts in such a way as to enhance the reputations of the other two, praise and honor to the other persons

Jesus came down from heaven, not to do His own will, but the will of the Father.

Partnering - intentional, proactive utilization of God-given gifts to bring strength and further a mutual cause

A good question to ask as you seek discernment between responsibility and concern is, “will Jesus hold me accountable for this?“

A responsibility is something that only you can do in a particular situation or relationship. This cannot and should not be passed on to someone else.… A concern is a situation or a person that is legitimate and important to you, but is beyond or outside your abilities. It must be interested to God. Concerns require humble acknowledgment of your limitations and interest in a faithful in sovereign God.

When a child falls and scrapes a knee, a mother who says, “You’re okay. Brush it off. You can keep playing,” may have trouble believing she is nurturing. However, this mother is communicating to her child that she believes her child is capable and strong. Her nurturing empowers and instills confidence that the child has the ability to handle the situation.

To reflect the image of God through nurturing is to give of yourself sacrificially for the benefit of another … Nurturing is always intended to grow another for the purpose of launching them to serve God in the way he designed them. When a woman nurtures, she empowers and encourage others, helping them feel stronger, bolder, more capable, and more of who God created them to be.

The capacity of nurturing has been largely… Misrepresented as weak and insignificant. Nurturing is not weak and insignificant, nor is it a personality type. Nurturing is a significant, self sacrificing, and God reflecting attribute. Women were created to under Guard or bring strength to others.

The love, acceptance, and security she has found in God, freeze her to be vulnerable with others, courageous, and take risk emotionally and relationally. She is free to be seen and known for who she really is instead of desperately trying to be who she thinks others expect her to be. She is free to fail, look, foolish, be rejected, be exposed.

One with a gentle and quiet spirit does not need to be self protective because she knows the One who judges righteously; does not need to prove or perform because she knows the One who has proven himself and performed ultimately.

To be modest means you are not overly concerned with yourself. Modesty is freedom from vanity, egotism, boastfulness, and pretension. Modesty is reflected in an attitude of humility – in the elevation of others above self.

Lady Wisdom’s invitation, extends to everyone, is sacrificial; not limited based on what others have to offer her, on the contrary, she invites others based on what she can provide them. She holds herself out to them freely, openly, and without shame; inviting them to partake of what she has to offer so that they may become better

Eve was created to come along and bring strength, but she chose autonomy, establishing herself to be the final authority; asserting herself above God and Adam. Rather than bringing her God-given strength through the relationship, she brought it over; rather than bringing her strength and power to bear for good, she brought harm… Using them for her own means instead of for the glory of God.

Just as Adam was created from the earth to meet a need of the earth, Eve was created from Adam to meet a need of Adam. Adam corresponds to the earth… And he was given instruction regarding it. Eve corresponds to Adam – to be his complementary counterpart, the one who would work alongside him and aid him in the mission of filling and subduing the earth.

The diversity displayed in the creation of light from dark, heavens from earth, and land from sea, is also seen in the creation of mankind. Each part of creation is distinct, yet complements its counterpart … They are equal in value as image, bearers, yet different inform and function as male and female. They are, like the rest of creation, complementary counterparts.

Our charge as His image-bearers, it to multiply (produce more “reflectors” of His image) and care for (govern, order, and nourish) the rest of God’s creation as His representatives
