I seriously need a break from this.. This world is so confusing. Reading some reddit forums, it's 70% build up 30% satisfaction and this is the formula for all of these books in the Malazan series and once you finish the series you can go back and reread the books and it will make sense.

I like how it has more readability in the future but its dicey getting through it, confused.

It's been engrossing me thus far. A little hard to follow, but due to the preface I know that's more or less intended. I haven't just sat down and read this much in one day in quite a long time. Felt nice
