I get frustrated with authors who give lip service to supporting survivors who have no need for ‘redeemed’ bible verses interpretation (“For some of those I’ve spoken with, [the bible] is the literature of their trauma and I feel no need to redeem it for these individuals”) but then don’t give a fucking ‘if that’s you, skip to [whatever] section to avoid me attempting to defend Paul’ warning!
