something i only started noticing abt vonnegut when i last read mother night was his heavy use of metafiction. v postmodern. probably should have done my thesis on vonnegut but that was fun to do still on an obscure author lol

finally knocking out some books that aren’t 20-30 hours long now…except east of eden lol that one doesn’t count i’m reading it partially physically and partially audiobook 😅

never before considered how vonnegut seems to be commenting on the absurdity and surreality that is the atom bomb. re: dr honneiker creating an impossible crystal that can freeze every liquid on earth after creating the atom bomb.
