Status Updates From The Nowhere Child

Not as good as the first one of his I read. There were bits that didn’t need to be in there. A red herring that was never explained and the bad business with the snakes didn’t match the rest of the story. And let’s not forget the news coverage of the missing child and a parolee who was missing and would’ve been in the papers but yet he got out of the country with a fake birth certificate. 3 1/2 star read

Even though the most important thing happened at the beginning it’s still quite slow, though there’s a lot of back story happening. And that makes no sense - why does it feel slow? Mind you the previous book I read by this author felt kind of the same and I loved that book.
