Can't stop reading this series!

This is the first book i am reading on this series. So far so good! However, just a bit lost with some characters background, since i havent read the other books.

I read the first book, and this one was on sale on Amazon. I bought it...i just hope it is not neccessary for me to read the seven books previous to this one, to understand what is going on here! I guess i wlll find out soon enough!

I started out liking this book but now I'm not so sure. Declan hasn't groveled near enough to make up for what he did. He's too cocky. He should be a little more repentant.

Do not know why I have the impression that the author forgot her plot. There is something that gets me out of the story. But right now, I will not return books back to check.
