I feel so sorry for people who don’t get to read middle grade books. This book is more nuanced, emotionally impactful, and thematically dense than just about any adult book I’ve read all year. I cried on the first chapter and it’s been amazing every single chapter. Even my five year old is hooked on the plot! If you have kid, add to must reads NOW!
