Wow! Cathrine, many thanks for organizing a Buddy Read for this book. I started reading and am finding it difficult to STOP. I may follow Angela's lead and read the complete book now.

The contrast in perspectives on how to deal with the boys when a fight erupts is brilliantly dialogued, the aftermath of dealing with injustices, those who cope with it, those who further sink into the spiral.
The effect of Beth's is shocking (the instant rejection, judgement, inability to see from her POV) and interesting (the instinct to stay away), the ease of meeting the father as an adult, not a parent.

Riveted from the opening pages, and have to put it down now to work.
Such adept characterisations, especially the introverted, empathetic, devils advocate Sophia, the one who sees.
Live the insights into the different behavioural aspects of each young person, how the emotions okay out mentally and physically, in the short term and from long standing, deeply embedded experiences, often traumatic. And a little humour.
