Status Updates From Silas Marner

The pathos in ch 19 the confession of Godfrey to marner and request for the return pf Epi belies a woman’s insight , delicacy and sensitivity. A male author would be hard pressed to deliver such a literary passage.
Sexist but i deliver it agai’n me own, so its more like confession than accusation.

The pond is drained and reveals the brother dead and decayed still holding the sack os gold stolen from marner all those years ago!

Godfrey then reveals he is Epi’s father and asks for her back - AT 18yo!
The selfishness of the Godfrey couple is unbelievable!
His brother stole gold from silas, now he would complete the pillage by stealing Epi?!
