This app says that this book is only 479 pages.. which it is not. It is 648 pages.. so it thinks I am almost finished when I am only halfway.
This book, like my favorite Jodi Picoult books, is challenging the topic of what you will do for someone you love. Which was so fascinating in the first book that she wrote about this topic but it from this perspective of a parent rather than a romantic partner.

The book is definitely getting more intense! There was a section that seemed really weird and unnecessary. I felt like the point could have been proven in a different way but instead we had very triggering imagery. But I guess like many of Picoult’s books, we are showing flawed humans that could be real. And the book was written in the 2000s... so Im trying to not be totally grossed out by this character but.. idk
