Status Updates From Black Beauty

Ugh - I don’t want to say this because I wanted to love this classic children’s tale…but this is a slog to get through. It’s just chapter after chapter of anecdotes about cruelty to horses in Victorian England. I’m sure it was a powerful account at the time, but for now I’m just finding it a bit depressing.

hice una lista con todos los libros que tenemos en casa, este fue el primero en salir al generar un número del 1 al 100. Relectura que me recuerda a mi infancia, a la primera vez que lo leí <3 a ver si quedo igual de destruida que esa vez, probablemente este fue el primer libro que me hizo llorar.

I absolutely adore this.
