okay finished first volume. this volume primarily introduced the main cast as well as how they interact with one another. the chapter format probably helped slightly with helping allow for more to happen as well as develop characters more each chapter. definitely curious to read more

1,100 yards? It must have been 1 km in Japanese, and they rounded up to 1,100 yards, but... why not just leave it as 1 km? I don't think anyone so "American" that they aren't aware of the metric system will ever read this story about Japanese school girls doing nothing...
