Status Updates From Chameleon

The boys start walking around trying to find somewhere to eat they stumble across a couple of crips and Lorenzo finds his brother is apart of the gang and then they are found by some bloods. The boys run away and this could be significant to the story because if Lorenzo's brother gets hurt the boys might turn to the life of a gang and start causing trouble.

The boys start to prepare themselves and imagine what life in high school might be like. They talk about what they most want to achieve and if they will still have each other. I wonder if the boys will end up having different classes and will have to navigate through that. I predict that Shawn will not have most classes with his friends but have classes with Marisol and if they might grow closer.

As the kids walk around looking around at everyone completing themselves and having something special about them. The boys wonder about what they want to do with there future. I predict the boys will end up going off this basis and do something to get them started and to try harder.

They learn from Andre's brother to live life to your best potential. He talks to the boys after they beat Bricker and to not waste it. This is significant because it sets Randy as a role model for the boys and even though you may fall down you need to get back out and go just as good and do it to the best of your abilities.

As the boys go to the park to play basketball after seeing Crazy Ray going wild and being took down and restrained they go to the park and find Andre's brother and Shawn and Andre show a lot of teamwork and I wonder if that might make them confident to try out for the basketball team. But I also wonder if something happens severely if him and his friends will get caught up in something and how it affects them.

Shawn is annoyed with his friends after they ruined his time talking to Marisol he felt apprehensive at the idea he would maybe have a chance with her. I noticed in the book the friends visit all of there homes except Shawn's and we see how Shawn maybe more secretive about his home life. And after seeing how he isn't confident in himself we see that Shawn might need to build more emotional strength.

When reading I noticed how Shawn mentioned he had so many thoughts. He went into full panic when he saw Marisol after just being in Andre's house and remembering what they heard. This is significant because it might show how the relationship between Marisol and him grow and how it might affect his friendships.

The main character Shawn ends up going out with his friends he enters Andre's house and thinks about his aunt and how he never has experienced what he has. I wonder if he will ever get to experience what Andre has and a not so scary time at his aunts. This is significant because it shows how he might act in his area because of this whether it means staying home or going out and causing trouble.

While reading I noticed how his mom is seeing more of his aunties drinking problem more of a disease and how she is forcing Shawn the main character to deal with that. And I wonder if one day she has gone over the limit and her liver fails and she passes away and if Shawn ends up finding her like that how would it affect his life. And as well this is significant to the story because it might affect him and his mom.

When reading I noticed how he was perplexed about something the way they physically described him in the book. I found this significant because he doesn't want his mom to think he is apart of a gang and how he needs to find an excuse to show he wasn't stealing. I also wondered how they might grow up and maybe continue these activities and his mom will find out.

I noticed from the book how Shawn was chosen to end up stealing the pomegranates and how he might build a reputation of mischievous actions. And how Its significant because how it shows he would be able to get away with it because his alcoholic auntie that wont pay attention to him and if would run away or some sorts.

The main character Shawn imagines life if he had freedom where he lived and they didn't have to do color checks. He thinks of defeating the gang members for what they did to them and how everyone would applaud him. It made me wonder if he will make a change and how it could impact the story.

The main character Shawn are with his buddies in a gang filled area while trying to survive he cant seem to focus when he is around his crush Marisol. I wonder if Shawn will get in trouble with a gang and will have to protect Marisol as well as making sure not getting caught up in gangs. Also I noticed how he did not want to stop by at his aunts house and they way he talked about it I believe she is an alcoholic.

This book focuses on young adults going into freshman year of highschool, while they have to worry about the gangs of there city over summer break. It makes me wonder on how maybe one of them makes a mistake and is at the wrong place at the wrong time. I also wonder how it might affect they're family and if they are reeled in with the gangs or if they are suspected of being in a gang.

book has upped to my top ten favourite books on its way to going to my top five. the reflection it has on the important issues it addresses and the metaphors on modern day life definitely make the book more enjoyable.

by this point in the story every character has been highlighted on at least one and they all have their subplots but also they all tie into the overall plot that includes all of them. some characters have gone through their respective journey to development and others are motivated by motive that helps move the plot forward.

at this point in the story the book has really evolved from its plot point to the quality of the enriching storytelling. the author has really found his footing on what story he wants to tell and it is definitely working and has me hooked on the book as a whole.

so far it’s very intriguing on how the author is writing all the details from the visuals to how the characters talk. i also really like how realistic the plot is. the plot is obviously moving forward in its own way.

so far the book has not progressed to a overall plot point but instead is just referring to flashbacks of the main characters and just introducing us to the life of the protainst little by little

The things that surprised me was is that my book teaches me a life lesson.I love my book because its enjoyable,in my opinion its interesting to me.

The main character Shawn,He struggles of going back and forth between his mom,dad and aunt.His parents are divorced and his other struggle is seeing his aunt an alcoholic.

Shawn is a boy who is going on to high school.Shawn is a pretty mellow kind of guy,he likes to play basketball, he likes to hang out with his friends and he is always going back and forth with his mother and aunt.

This book reminded me of good memories that I had with me and some of my friends.I hope to finish reading this amazing book
