I'm a big fan of Parks and Rec and enjoy Retta's portrayal of Donna. Sadly I found her voice in the book to be vain, shallow, and entitled. Still like Retta, just not a fan of her book.

Never watched Parks and Rec but I’m going to watch an episode tonight.

Only a chapter and a half in and I’m already crying from laughing so hard at Retta describing her newfound coffee addiction 🤣

This book is hilariously amazing so far. Fuckin love Retta.

This book made me laugh aloud constantly! It was like listening to an old friend from high school. Retta is funny, vibrant and here to stay! I cannot wait to hear and see more from her.

Listening to the audiobook and Retta is an amazing narrator. What a treat. Her story about meeting Jon Hamm is super cute and hilarious.

The beginning is interesting, and her journey. If you follow social media it may appeal to you with the blow by blow ocher online interactions. It is like a party diary in parts. I love her in one dramatic series but not familiar with her comedy and not always getting it. A light read mostly.

I can’t say every day when I wake up I’m happy with my body, but I can say that every day when I wake up I’m happy *for* my body. We’ve been through a lot of shit together and I plan on going through a lot more.

So if you see me out sporting a sleeveless look, know I broke out the big guns cuz I could.

You might ask if it was humbling. It wasn’t, because I was doing what I needed until I got to where I knew I could be.
