#AWKWARD ALERT
I feel bad for this girl, having to be the chaperone for a flirtatious love-sick, empty-headed couple and forced to watch them canoodle . . . just . .

I enjoyed the series, thought the Prequel might not be as good. Was pleasantly surprised.

I am absolutely loving this twist on the story and the way Jeff Wheeler interconnects all of his stories. Reading the story of ankarette makes me want to finish this one and the next, then go back and reread the king fountain series all over again with new understanding of the history.
Personal opinion: if a book makes you want to reread the entire series, it must be pretty well put together

Such an interesting twist in the king fountain series, I’m enjoying seeing how Ankarette learns of and develops her skills. I’m not sure I fully understood her blessing until now, and seeing the characters in their youth is such a fresh take on the story. This is a multigenerational series, spanning the parents, their children, and their children’s children. I’m loving it so far

I am a Wheeler fan but found this too repetitive having already read the series.
